About Me

I have been very interested in technology from a young age. Shortly before high school I became interested in computer programming and started writing simple Perl scripts. During high school I ran a neighborhood computer service business. Following this I was able to obtain an internship at Argonne National Lab before college after I taught myself c++. During graduate school I interned at Delphix where I worked for a couple years. I now work at Dropbox on the infrastructure team. I have sought out and been involved in a number of cool projects over the years, and some of them are detailed on this site.

Software Engineering

The areas that I find most interesting are parallel computing, distributed systems, large scale data processing, low latency/real time systems, and mostly recently devops/developer tooling

At Dropbox I've been working on improving Smart Sync

Mathematics

My favorite math topics are linear programming, applied statistics, graph theory, and machine learning.

Other Stuff

I enjoy playing ping pong, running, and reading. Some of my favorite books are:
- The Lord of The Rings
- Neuromancer
- The Prize
- Winter's Bone
- Brideshead Revisited
